Enjambant le Grand Canal, c&#8217;est le pont le plus ancien et le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre de Venise, et son design \u00e9l\u00e9gant en a fait un symbole architectural de la ville.<\/p>\n<p>La construction du pont du Rialto remonte \u00e0 la fin du XVIe si\u00e8cle. Avant son ach\u00e8vement en 1591, le seul moyen de traverser le Grand Canal \u00e9tait le bateau. La n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&#8217;un pont permanent est devenue de plus en plus \u00e9vidente \u00e0 mesure que Venise prenait de l&#8217;importance en tant que centre commercial et culturel.<\/p>\n<p>Con\u00e7u par Antonio da Ponte, le pont du Rialto est un magnifique exemple de l&#8217;architecture de la Renaissance. Il se compose d&#8217;une seule arche de marbre, s&#8217;\u00e9levant au-dessus du canal et flanqu\u00e9e de deux rang\u00e9es de boutiques. Ces boutiques abritent traditionnellement des vendeurs qui proposent une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de produits, notamment des bijoux, des souvenirs et de la verrerie v\u00e9nitienne.<\/p>\n<p>Le pont du Rialto n&#8217;est pas seulement un point de passage pratique, il offre \u00e9galement une vue imprenable sur le Grand Canal et l&#8217;activit\u00e9 bouillonnante de Venise.
